Buchanan, Ingersoll and Rooney Hires Immigration Attorney Dilip Patel

Dilip PatelBuchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announced recently that Dilip Patel has joined the firm as counsel in its Tampa office. Patel’s hiring means two of the top practitioners of immigration law in Tampa and statewide are at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. Patel will be reunited with his former mentor, shareholder and immigration expert, William J. Flynn III.

“I had the pleasure of working with Dilip when he first began his career in immigration law,” said Flynn. “Now, he is a cutting-edge expert for U.S. companies that hire foreign nationals. His knowledge, passion and depth of experience have always been impressive, and I am thrilled to be reunited with him.”

Prior to joining Buchanan, Patel was a partner at Shutts & Bowen where he worked with both corporations and individuals in his immigration practice. Before that, Patel founded and managed his own firm for eight years where he offered immigration law services to clients across the world.

Patel graduated with law degrees from Florida State University’s College of Law as well as The London School of Economics at the University of London. He is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by The Florida Bar. He has garnered an AV® Preeminent distinction, the highest available mark for professional excellence from Martindale-Hubbell’s Peer Review Ratings. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2006 and was also named the 2015 Lawyer of the Year in Immigration Law.
