This biographical drama is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar from Bihar and the educational program called Super 30 he started. Thirty talented students from underprivileged backgrounds are selected and prepared to take the rigorous entrance exams for admission to the coveted Indian Institute of Technology. Not seen on the big screen since “Kaabil,” two years ago, Hrithik Roshan stars as Anand Kumar. The film tells the story of the determined math teacher from a modest background who goes from tutoring elite wealthy students at a top coaching center to starting his own free institute to give disadvantaged students an opportunity to succeed. Roshan has transformed his look from glam to gritty for the role. Veteran actor Virendra Saxena plays Anand’s father. The trailer has generated much excitement and expectations are high. Kumar himself has praised Roshan and the filmmakers for their attention to detail in bringing this inspiring story to screen.
