EDITOR’S NOTE
By NITISH S. RELE AND SHEPHALI J. RELE - editor@khaasbaat.com

As summer approaches, it's not just the temperature that is rising in the Sunshine State. It's also the number of activities that are taking place this month. Do go through our extensive listing of events in your community on this and the next page.

We were among the fortunate few to test-drive the all-new 2010 Toyota Prius hybrid for our Motoring column (story, page 10). The 50-mpg car should arrive at your local dealerships by the end of May.

Marathi literature lovers should definitely look into the library Ami Dwivedi has opened at her Tampa residence (story, page 15). Folks in South Florida are fortunate to get to see the legendary Jagjit Singh perform May 21 in Coral Springs. And in Tampa, everyone should take advantage of the free community health and family fair May 16 at the Hindu Temple Community Hall.

Remember, Khaas Baat is the ONE AND ONLY Sunshine State publication to offer comprehensive coverage of happenings in your Florida Indian community. Please send us information about upcoming events in your area by the 20th of every month.
