Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy BENEFIT Concert for Tampa Ayyappa Temple JUNE 28 IN LAKELAND

Sri Ayyappa Society of Tampa (SASTA) will host the Grammy-winning trio, Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy from 7 p.m. at RP Funding Center (Jenkins Arena), 701 W. Lime St., in Lakeland, on June 28. During the “Kal Ho Na Ho” USA tour show, the magical trio is expected to excite the audience with Bollywood songs and other famous Indian hits.
The Mumbai-based trio of Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa have composed music for more than 50 films in various Indian languages. Prominent are “Kal Ho Na Ho,” “Dil Chahta Hai,” “My Name is Khan,” “Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna,” “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” and “Dil Dhadakne Do.” They has won numerous awards, including National Film Awards (India), Filmfare Awards and IIFA Awards. In addition, Mahadevan won the Grammy in 2024 for his band Shakti in the Best Global Music Album Category for “This Moment.”
Mahadevan is the main vocalist; he is known for his powerful singing voice and a wide range of repertoire, which spans from classical to modern songs as well as bhajans in a variety of languages. Ehsaan Noorani is the guitarist, while Loy Mendonsa plays a variety of instruments, ranging from the harmonica to the piano.

BROWARD COUNTY STADIUM IN LAUDERHILL TO HOST 4 T20 WORLD CUP MATCHES JUNE 11, 14-16
Broward County Stadium in Central Broward Park, Lauderhill, is one of three United States sites to host the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. This is the first time the World Cup will be held in the United States. The ICC T20 World Cup will consist of 55 matches, with 16 played in the U.S., and four at Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill:
- Tuesday, June 11: Sri Lanka vs. Nepal, match starts at 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, June 14: USA vs. Ireland, 10:30 a.m.
- Saturday, June 15: India vs. Canada; 10:30 a.m.
- Sunday, June 16: Pakistan vs. Ireland; 10:30 a.m.
There are more than 2.5 billion people who follow cricket from around the world and international matches are not new at Broward County Stadium, which was the first ICC-sanctioned stadium in the U.S.
More than 20 teams will compete in the World Cup and be divided into four groups of five each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next round. The other two U.S. sites to host this year's tournament will be in Eisenhower Park in Nassau County, N.Y., and at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
