APRIL 2018
Khaas Baat : A Publication for Indian Americans in Florida

Editor's Note

By NITISH S. RELE and SHEPHALI J. RELE

Activities abound in Florida with Gainesville and Fort Myers both presenting their annual IndiaFests on April 7. Central Florida residents will want to visit the Hindu Society of Central Florida April 26-29 as it celebrates the rejuvenation of the temple after 12 years. And if you are a South Florida resident, you won’t want to miss “Mystic India: The World,” a Broadway-style Bollywood dance spectacular on April 21 in Boca Raton.

If you were affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria last year, you may want to read on the temporary tax relief measures available by our accounting columnist Sanjay Gupta. In our Under the Cover column, we have reviews of the informative “Interfaith Marriage” by Dilip Amin and “Note to Self” by promising writer Cheryl Cherian.

We also welcome your story ideas and suggestions. Organizing an event in your community? Let us know by the 20th to be listed on our Events calendar. Khaas Baat is proud to be the ONE AND ONLY Sunshine State publication to offer comprehensive coverage of happenings in your Florida Indian community. Do follow us on twitter @khaasbaat and join us on Facebook for details about late-breaking events and other interesting stories.
