Ki and Ka“Ki & Ka” Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Swaroop Sampat, Rajat Kapoor; directed by R. Balki; music by Illaiyaraaja, Mithoon, Meet Bros Anjjan.

This romantic comedy from the writer/director of “Shamitabh,” “Paa” and “Cheeni Kum” tackles gender stereotypes with some laughs. Paired together for the first time, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor play Kia and Kabir, a couple with contrasting ideologies. Their relationship challenges the gender roles of men and women in the Indian society. Easygoing Kabir wants to build the home while Kia is an ambitious marketing manager who wants to build her career. Swaroop Sampat plays Kia’s mother. The joy, struggles, the steps taken to resolve the conflicts are not unlike the traditional roles of couples usually seen on screen. The film is about showing that regardless of role reversals, the problems are the same and ultimately the gender doesn't matter. Watch for Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan who are featured in extended cameos. The film has been highly praised on social media after special advance screenings.
