Q: I received my green card six months back. I have pain in my heart and all over the body. I take ayurvedic medicine. Is there any way to get help from welfare?

A: Please refer to the Alien Emergency Medical (AEM) program for aliens. The toll-free number is 1-800-356-1561.

Q: I have Medicare. I want information as to get the best out of it. what should I do? where can I get it?

A: Please look to state health insurance assistance program (ship). For Florida, the toll free number is 1-800-963-53

Q: Is there any scheme to get relief from heavy energy expenditure in winter?

A: Please look to Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). You have to apply between Nov. 15 and March 15. The toll free number is 1-800-510-3102.

Q: Do you feel that the welfare rules are likely to be revised in near future?

A: Yes, a review was due in 2002. In 2007, the review may take place.

Q: Is there any book explaining all the benefits in details?

A: I know that in Gujarati, there is a book by one Joseph Parmar of New Jersey. His phone number is 732-382-0065. I launched his book on Sept. 19 in New York.
