Editor's Note
We welcome the Orlando-based Indian American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) for joining with Khaas Baat. Like our partner, the INDO-US Chamber of Commerce in Tampa, IACC continues to grow and prosper, gaining new members. Proof was in the packed luncheon on India Day with special guest Miss America, Nina Davuluri.
As you can see, this month’s issue is bursting with forthcoming activities such as the IndiaFest on Feb. 22 in West Palm Beach, Miami Mayhem 7, a collegiate raas competition on March 1, and the numerous fundraisers held by Ekal Vidyalaya all around the state. Our congratulations go to the hard-working volunteers at Sanatan Mandir in Tampa for completing 25 years. Moving forward, the mandir will hold groundbreaking for a new temple building on Feb. 22. Of course, we will bring you the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend updates as they are announced.
As always, we welcome your feedback on favorite features or what you would like to see more of. Community organizers, please continue to inform us about future events in your town. Khaas Baat is proud to be the ONE AND ONLY Sunshine State publication to offer comprehensive coverage of happenings in your Florida Indian community.
