COLORS CAN MAINTAIN YOUR MOOD FOR THE DAY!

Welcome and blessed 2014! As everyone recovers from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season past, and maintains routine once again, let’s move forward with positivity – especially in the fashion front! Along with the ‘lose weight and get fit’, ‘be a better person’, and ‘find more religion in my life’ resolutions, how about an oath to ourselves to dress our best each day? It’s proven that when you dress well no matter how dressy or casual, you feel well too. Let’s self-improve with some important self-boosting fashion tips!

Colors always affect our mood, so wearing a specific color or pair of colors can create and maintain a mood for your day. Here are some examples to even change your temperament from when you first wake up in the morning!

Wear black for power and control, white for warmth and simplicity

We always see the corporate world full of black power suits and dresses. Well, it’s because the color black supports strength and authority. A black net sari is alluring and a black jodhpuri is regal. Having all under your spell with these looks is definitely self-confidence boosting.

White, on the other hand, is for sweetness and purity. A lace anarkali or casual pooja kurta pajama is beautiful innocence. You could be surrounded with a positive, fulfilling aura wearing this shade.

Wear yellow and green for happiness and refreshment

If you wake up in the morning feeling gloomy or sad, wear yellow. This simple tip helps in such a happy way. Wear a yellow cotton salwar kameez or crepe kurti/tunic top. Not only will you seem brighter to all, you will feel it!

Green, too, is self-soothing. It’s associated with nature and the outdoors. Not only is it rejuvenating, it de-stresses you and the people who are looking at you! Try a mint green churidaar or leaf green sherwani with gold working.

Wearing blue is tricky, beware

Wearing blue is almost two-sided. On one side, it’s a calming and peaceful color. If you’re feeling a bit stressed, wearing a blue outfit can relax you. Wearing blue can also bring out your ‘creative’ side. Oppositely, it’s also cold and standoffish. Subconsciously, it can make you feel more ‘blue’, or ‘bring out the blues’ in you. A tip I’ve learned? Wear light and pastel blues to feel cool, calm and collected. Darker navy and royal blue hues will keep you alert and focused-looking!

As much as we all want simplicity in our lives, we also simultaneously strive to attain all there is to life. There are so many different ways to interpret this sentence, but one important focal point – we want to live our lives. So live happy, live fully, and as always, remember to ‘gro with style’!
