As our traditional festival comes to a close, there is one more event that will bring Indians in Florida together India Festival on Nov. 11 in Tampa. Please do plan on attending this 19th annual event put together by the hardworking folks of the Gujarati Samaj of Tampa Bay.

Also, pencil into your diary Asian Cultural Associations dance extravaganza Ekaantha Seetha to be held Nov. 17 in Tampa and Nov. 18 in Orlando. We hear it is a treat to watch. And on Dec. 2-3, convenience store owners will get together for their second annual convention (AACSA) at India Cultural Center in Tampa.

We bring you one more new column this month, by CPA Satya Shaw on asset protection. In her second bi-monthly column, pediatrician Payal Patel urges readers to watch out for the flu season, which runs through April.

Our congratulations to physicians Akshay M. Desai and Vibhuti Singh of St. Petersburg for being picked as finalists by the Tampa Bay Business Journal for its Health Care Heroes list.

And best of all, we are glad to bring you an exclusive interview with renowned cookbook author and actor Madhur Jaffrey, who is out with yet another book Climbing the Mango Trees.
