As everyone has just barely settled down with their back-to-school routine, we begin the start of the festival season with Janmashtami, Paryushan, Ramadan, Ganesh Chaturthi, followed by Navratri in October.

Several events are taking place throughout the state of Florida and we hope Khaas Baat can keep you informed of the activities in your community. To continue offering you the most comprehensive coverage, we recently toured the Fort Lauderdale/Sunrise and Fort Myers areas to meet up with the locals at the grocery stores and restaurants. We were warmly greeted by all. Also as a result, we were able to put together a story on the planned Hindu Temple of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers.

We welcome Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder of Isha Foundation and one of the foremost authorities on yoga, as one of your occasional columnists. Also, readers in the Lake Worth, Orlando, Tallahassee and Fort Lauderdale area can head out to the theaters to check out Vanaja, a promising film by Rajnesh Domalpalli.

Remember, Khaas Baat is the ONE AND ONLY Sunshine State publication to offer comprehensive coverage of happenings in your Florida Indian community. If you have an opinion about an important topic, please send us a Letter to the Editor.

We welcome your comments or suggestions. To send us information about events in your town, e-mail [email protected] by the 20th of each month.

If you would like to receive a copy of our newspaper every month, please e-mail us at [email protected]. Thanks for your support.

We would like to once again extend our sincere gratitude to all advertisers and well-wishers. Do e-mail us at [email protected] with any ideas and suggestions or send in a letter to the editor.
