Parents, as you settle into the new school year, it’s time to start thinking of all the upcoming activities you may want to attend. To start with, there are Shri Krishna Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations this month as well as numerous other events. These include “Jagat Pavani Ganga” dance program presented by AIM for SEVA Sept. 8 in Tampa; the 9th Annual Awards Gala organized by the Indian American Chamber of Commerce-Orlando on Sept. 22; “A Million Sitas” presented by renowned Indian dancer Dr. Anita Ratnam a day later in Tampa; and “Beyond Bollywood: 24th annual South Asian Film Festival” Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Orlando. This issue features columns on health, immigration, education (The Bridge to College), motoring, and of course entertainment.
