Here are the Florida communities celebrating Navratri in late September and October:

TAMPA BAY/PINELLAS PARK
Gujarati Samaj of Tampa Bay will celebrate Garba Dandiya Night from 8 p.m. on Oct. 4-5 at India Cultural Center, 5511 Lynn Road, Tampa. The garba is only for GSTB members. Performers will be the Ramzat Group. On Oct. 11-12, Classic Production presents Rythum Shastri, Bela Shah and Yogi Pathak will perform from 8 p.m. at Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N. Sri Laxmi Narayan Mandir is celebrating Navratri with daily garba from Oct. 3-12 after 7 p.m. aarti. Navratri Ashtami is from 5 p.m. on Oct. 11 and Dussehra from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 12. Sri Laxmi Narayan Mandir is at 4615 George Road, Tampa. For information, call the temple at (813) 444-9786.

ORLANDO/KISSIMMEE/CASSELBERRY
The Gujarati Society of Central Florida will hold Navratri Garba from 8 p.m. Oct. 4-5 at Olympia High School, 4301 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando. The Oct. 11-12 garba will be from 8 p.m. at Lyman High School, 865 S. Ronald Reagan Blvd., Longwood. Performers are Kirtan and Devangi Brahmbhatt. The event is free for society members and $25 non-members. JACKSONVILLE
The Gujarati Samaj of North East Florida will celebrate Navratri Garba Nites 2024 with a live band from Gujarat from 7.30 p.m. Sept. 27-28 and Oct. 4-5 at Atlantic Coast High School, 9735 R.G. MELBOURNE/VIERA (SPACE COAST)
The Indian Association of the Space Coast will hold Garba Night from 7 p.m. to midnight on Sept. 28 (Jagdish Sheth and group), Oct. 5 (Rupesh Rawal) and Oct. 12 (Masti Group from India) at Viera High School, 6103 Stadium Parkway, Viera. TAMPA BAY INDIAN & WORLD MUSIC FEST SET
SEPT. 29

Tampa Bay Indian & World Music Festival will be held Sept. 29 at Hindu Temple of Florida. Organized by the Shruti School of Music, the annual all-day event celebrates the rich performing arts of India, Africa, Spain and other cultural music and dance from around the world.

The all-day extravaganza, aimed at “Uniting the World through the power of music and dance” and attracting Indian and non-Indian audiences, will showcase almost a dozen world-class touring musicians and dancers.

Performers include vocalists Aditi Chakraborty and Samarth Nagarkar, sarangi player Suhail Yousuf Khan, tabla players Shankh Lahiri and Nitin Mitta, Hindol Deb on sitar, Sandip Chatterjee on santoor; Flamenco dance by Don Soledad and Band; Tara Priyadarshini Bikkasani - Bharatanatyam Dance Troupe; and Shankh & Friends World Music Band Performance.

The first session will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., second from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Food will be available for purchase.
