Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor face off in "Kambakkt Ishq."
"Kambakkt Ishq": Starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani, Amrita Arora, Vindoo Dara Singh, Ashwin Mushran; directed by Sabir Khan; music by Anu Malik.

This action-packed romantic comedy features Akshay Kumar as Viraj Shergill, a successful chauvinistic Hollywood stuntman who doesn't believe in marriage. Viraj has taken care of his younger brother, Lucky, played by Aftab Shivdasani all his life. Unlike his brother, Lucky believes in love and wants to marry, but Viraj is fiercely against it. Amrita Arora is Kamini, the beautiful naive model Lucky wants settle down with. Her best friend Simrita Rai, played by Kareena Kapoor, is a witty feminist firebrand who thinks all men are losers. Desperate to stop the wedding, Simrita and Viraj are thrown together in hilarious situations until fate binds them together. This big budget film was extensively shot in Los Angeles and features appearances by Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh reportedly playing themselves.

Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone pair up in "Love Aaj Kal."
"Love Aaj Kal": Starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rishi Kapoor, Rahul Khanna, Vir Das; directed by Imtiaz Ali; music by Pritam.

Expectations are high from Imtiaz Ali, the director of "Jab We Met," in this romantic story set in today and the past. Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone star as Jai and Meera a contemporary couple in London. They are happy with each other but when life pulls them apart they see things practically and don't want to tie each other down. In the love story of the past, there's love at first sight for Veer Singh when he sees Harleen. He's willing to travel miles for just a glimpse of her. The story returns to modern day where Veer played by Rishi Kapoor doesn't comprehend Jai's cavalier attitude conce rning love while Jai can't understand Veer's youthful naivet. Even though the relationship develops differently in the two eras, there are essences that remain the same. The music by Pritam is sure to top the charts, especially the number "Twist."
