Mini Mathur advises John Abraham
in “I, Me Aur Main.”

I, Me Aur MainStarring John Abraham, Chitrangda Singh, Prachi Desai, Zarina Wahab, Mini Mathur, and Raima Sen; directed by Kapil Sharma; music by Sachin-Jigar, Gourov Dasgupta, Falak Shabir, and Raghav Sachar.

After turning producer with last year’s hit “Vicky Donor,” John Abraham steps back into his acting shoes in this romantic comedy. Abraham plays the role of Ishaan, a charismatic, handsome, music producer from Mumbai. Zarina Wahib portrays his adoring mother. For Ishaan, all things revolve around himself in his sheltered life. Mini Mathur plays Shivani, his protective elder sister, and Chitrangda Singh is Anushka, his girlfriend. He manages to take them all for granted. When his life falls apart, a new neighbor, Gauri played by Prachi Desai, enters his life and helps him learn the importance of relationships. He attempts to mend and maintain his past relationships. In the process, he falls in love and comes to a point where he must make a choice between the love that made him a better person or being a better person by taking responsibility for actions in his past. The soundtrack is composed by four music directors.

Jolly LLB” Starring Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Amrita Rao, Saurabh Shukla; directed by Subhash Kapoor; music by Krsna.

The film, a social satire on India’s judiciary system, is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Arshad Warsi portrays Jagdish Tyagi, aka Jolly, a struggling small-time lawyer from Meerut who wants to make it big. Boman Irani plays the famous, powerful and unscrupulous lawyer who is his idol. He moves to New Delhi and reopens a high-profile court case and ends up taking on his idol. He attempts to prove his worth and skills as a lawyer to win the case. What ensues is a roller-coaster ride of moralities, ambition and relationships. In interviews, Irani has said, the reality of the film is bizarre and funny and will change people’s views about what happens in a court. The two lawyers face off in a David vs. Goliath kind of battle. Director Subhash Kapoor says ideas for the story came from his experiences in actual courtrooms in Delhi when he was a journalist. The music is composed by Krsna of “Tanu Weds Manu” fame.
