We would like to wish all of our friends, family and readers a Happy Diwali and Id Mubarak.

November is packed with festivals, so please check out our events calendar on this page and take advantage of all the happenings in your town. Remember to mark Nov. 12 on your calendar. Thats the day the Gujarati Samaj of Tampa Bay holds its 18th annual India Festival in Tampa. The event should be lots of fun for the entire family.

This month, we are kicking off at least three new monthly columns, on dance (by Jyothi Venkatachalam), business (by Brian Stephens) and immigration (by Dilip Patel). All of our debuting columnists, experts in their respective fields, are based right here in West Central Florida.

We also hope that Naeem Abrahani, who has contributed a story on the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations on November 4, will continue with more such topical articles.

We would like to emphasize that Khaas Baat is extremely proud to produce original and locally generated columns and articles.

As always, send in your news and feedback.

Please e-mail your suggestions and comments to [email protected]. And letters to the editor are more than welcome!
