Set in Gujarat, against the backdrop of religious politics during the early 2000s. The new millennium provides exciting times for the three Ahmedabad boys to start a business that could be their ticket to fame and riches. Television actor Sushant Singh Rajput (the original Manav from the serial “Pavitra Rishta”) underwent months of cricket training to prepare for his role as Ishaan. Raj Kumar Yadav plays Govind, whose dream is to start a successful business and make money. Amit Sadh plays Omi, a loyal friend with no clear aspirations of his own. In a nation passionate about cricket, they come up with a plan to start a training academy to produce India's next sporting superstars. Each has a different motivation and what follows is an adventure as they attempt to navigate the obstacles while fulfilling their dreams. The makers say “Kai Po Che” is a tribute to friendship and the magical times shared with one's closest pals. Filming took place in several areas of Gujarat, including Ahmedabad, Porbandar, Sabarmati and Diu. Former cricketer Ajay Jadeja makes a special appearance.
