SPOTLIGHT ON HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

Khaas Baat would like to congratulate and recognize some of our community’s brightest.

Preeti Bhanwadia of Tampa graduated from Alonso High School.
Honors/accomplishments: Honor Roll student through High School, National Honor Society, Science honors, Principal’s Best Award for Physics and Web Design.
Interests/hobbies: Future Business Leaders of America and Asian Club.
Preeti will attend St. Petersburg College and is undecided on her major.



Vyshak

 

 

Vyshak Chandra of St. Augustine graduated from Allen D. Nease High School, International Baccalaureate Program.
Honors/accomplishments: Valedictorian, National Honor Society, Academic Letter, First Place - Future Problem Solving Senior Division International Competition at University of Kentucky, AP Scholar with Distinction.
Interests/hobbies: Taekwondo, played Varsity Football and Varsity Track and Field, and Indian classical music (mridangam).
Vyshak will attend Duke University and plans to double or triple major in biomedical engineering, biochemistry and neuroscience.

 

 

 

 



JennyGajera

Jenny Gajera of Tampa graduated from Hillsborough High School, International Baccalaureate Program.


Honors/accomplishments: National Latin Examination Excellence Award.
Interests/hobbies: Garba dance and movies.
Jenny will attend the University of Miami for pre-medical or pre-dental studies.

 

 

 

 



SwathiMohankumar

Swathi MohanKumar of Jacksonville graduated from Paxon School for Advanced Studies, International Baccalaureate Program.
Honors/accomplishments: National Honor Society, Beta Club.
Interests/hobbies: Kuchipudi dance, Tae Kwon Do, and journalism.
Swathi will attend the University of South Florida for pre-medical studies.

 

 

 

 

Pooja Jayesh Patel of Tampa graduated from Tampa Bay Technical High School as part of the Health Academy.
Honors/accomplishments: Salutatorian, Advanced Placement Scholar Award, Science Award, Social Studies Award, First Place – Medical Knowledge Test at Health Occupations Students of America Regional Competition.
Interests/hobbies: Choreographing Indian dances, watching TV, traveling and writing poetry.
Pooja will attend the University of Tampa and plans to major in biology and business.

Nimish Ramanlal of Orlando graduated from Seminole High School, International Baccalaureate Program.
Honors/accomplishments: Intel International Science, Davidson Scholarship, Sunshine State Scholar.
Interests/hobbies: Tennis and playing piano.
Nimish will attend MIT and plans to study mathematics and computer science.

Sruti Rayaprolu of Jacksonville graduated from Paxon School for Advanced Studies.
Honors/accomplishments: Florida Bright Futures Scholarship and Aramark Magnet Program Scholarship.
Sruti will attend the University of North Florida and plans to major in biology.
