“Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap” Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Sonu Sood, Minissha Lamba, Sonal Chauhan, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Markand Deshpande; directed by Puri Jagannadh; music by Vishal-Shekhar.

Diehard Amitabh Bachchan fans will surely want to see the legendary actor reprise the “angry young man” role of Vijay he made famous in films such as “Deewar” and “Zanjeer.” This Ram Gopal Varma production stars the original Don and Shahenshah as a retired hitman settled in Paris who returns to India for one last assignment. Despite his age, he acts and feels like a youngster, creating many problems in the process. During the job, he comes face to face with his past and his motivation for the hit gets altered. A lot of buzz has been created around his super stylized avatar. Bachchan even sings the title song in his distinct baritone voice. Watch for Raveena Tandon, who makes a special appearance in the catchy song, “Main Chandigarh di star.”

Imran Khan and buddies try to flee from the bad guys in “Delhi Belly.”

“Delhi Belly” Starrring Imran Khan, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Vir Das, Shenaz Treasurywala, Poorna Jagannathan; directed by Abhinay Deo; music by Ram Sampath.

Billed as the meanest comedy you’ll ever see, this Aamir Khan production revolves around three bachelors sharing a flat in Delhi. Imran Khan plays Tashi Malhotra. He’s about to be married but still isn’t sure if his fiancée Sonia, played by Shenaz Treasurywala, is “the one.” Vir Das is Arup who’s not sure who he should be more upset with, his girlfriend who just dumped him or his annoying boss. Kunal Roy Kapur plays Nitin, who eats some street vendor food only to get a bad case of Delhi Belly (a euphemism for traveler’s diarrhea.) The three buddies seem like regular guys except for one thing, they are on the hit list of a deadly crime syndicate. The makers call this crime caper bold and irreverent, and not for kids. Aamir Khan has said those who can't identify with disrespectful and unclean language ought to stay away. Watch for Khan himself who makes an appearance in an item song, which pays tribute to the Bollywood disco era.
